Spent the day resting after a very busy week. I got the job working for BDO but at a reduced rate. I am happy for that although I will be asking for my original rate once I have completed my first 3 months.

Having secured a job I then chased up registering a company to charge through. Found a place on the web called Company Warehouse that register a company for only £80. I rang them as well and was told that they guarantee same day registration. So when the contracting agency called to say that I would only be able to start on Tuesday 'due to legal reasons', I went a little bananas at them. Why can I not start because your paperwork is not in order. Turns out they couldn't find the new company name on the web. Not surprising seeing as how I had only registered it a few hours earlier. I called the friendly guys at CW and they not only game me the required company number, he also forwarded me the company certificate in PDF. I then forwarded it onto the agency and hey-presto; I can now start on Monday.

Now all I need to do is open a company account so that I can be paid. I have an offer from Abbey as they have a deal with the Company Warehouse, but I will probably also open one with HSBC as I already have an account with them. Very happy with the progress I have managed to make in 3 weeks. I will probably relax this weekend again in preparation for starting at BDO on Monday.
